It is that time of the month again when we bring you a list of the biggest triple-A games for the month—and we are genuinely excited about what this month has in store. The first reason why we are excited is that two previous Playstation and Xbox exclusives will be coming to rival platforms.
Horizon Forbidden West which was first released for PS4 and PS5 will be launched on PC. The version of the game launching on PC is the Complete Edition which will include the Burning Shores expansion and other bonus content. The PC port project was made possible through a collaboration between Guerrilla Games and Nixxes Software. It is scheduled for launch on March 21 and can be purchased through Steam for $60.
In a similar surprising move, Hi-Fi Rush which was an Xbox exclusive will be coming to PS5 on March 18. Hi-Fi Rush is one of the surprise hits of 2023. Although it was shadow-dropped by Tango Gameworks in January 2023, the rhythm-based action game stole the admiration of gamers. It was nominated for several awards and won The Game Awards in the Best Audio Design category.

Unfortunately, none of these games made our list. The reason is that our list of must-play triple-A games each month focuses on games that offer fresh experiences rather than remakes or games that are moving to a new platform.
5 Triple-A games you can’t afford to miss this March
March is packed with triple-A games and AA releases that bring back childhood memories. One game in particular that has lots of memories to it is Contra: Operation Galuga which is scheduled for March 12 release. The game is a reimagination of the 1980s run-‘n’-gun classics. Contra: Hard Corps was one game that I enjoyed playing growing up and was particularly thrilled by the alternate endings.
Regardless of your favorite gaming platform, there is a game on this list for you. However, PS5 and Nintendo Switch players are going to get exciting new IPs. That said, let’s cut the chitchats and dive into the heart of the matter.
WWE 2K24 (March 8)
If you are a fan of sports simulation games, WWE 2K24 is one of the triple-A games you should look up to. This edition of what has become an annual staple will celebrate Forty Years of Wrestlemania. The event will bring back some of the legends that have graced the ring, allowing players to relive Wrestlmania’s greatest moments.

It will feature new match types including casket, guest referee, ambulance matches, and gauntlet. One of the game’s trailers also showed that Mohammed Ali will feature in the game. It will launch on March 8 on all current and immediate past-gen consoles and PCs.
Alone in the Dark (March 20)
The second half of March will be a beehive of activities because most of the triple-A games planned for release this month will be coming to the hands of gamers in the second half of the month. After several pushbacks, the reimagined Alone in the Dark will be coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S and is described as a love letter to the 90’s cult classic horror game. This triple-A game will allow players to dive back into the roots of psychological horror either as Emily Hartwood or Edward Carnby. If horror is your thing, Alone in the Dark is a must-play this March.

Following the attack, Peach teams up with Stella, the theater’s guardian to save the day. Princess Peach: Showtime! was given a March 22 release date and will come exclusively to Nintendo Switch.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 (March 22)
Almost 12 years after the release of the first Dragon’s Dogma, the game is set to get a sequel. Developed by Capcom, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is scheduled for release on March 22. Fans of the action-adventure role-playing game have had several glimpses of different aspects of the game through a series of videos shared by the developer.

Which game are you playing this March?
Some people argue that there are too many games which has contributed to the bad state of the video game industry. A large number of triple-A games are released every month making it hard for gamers to keep up. This has left gamers with lots of backlog in their collection.
Also, the large number of triple-A games released every month means that gamers have had to ration their rare resources. Consequently, some games don’t record as many sales as they would have if the number of releases was fewer.
The ripple effect of lower game sales is seen in the mass layoffs currently sweeping through the game industry. However, that may be just part of the problem as AI is also fingered as part of the problem. To avoid digressing too much, which of the triple-A games on this list will you be playing this month?
