It has been over a month since Dr Disrespect took a vacation off social media. His disappearance coincided with the unearthing of the reason why he was banned on Twitch, which according to ex-Twitch employees, was related to inappropriate messaging of a minor.
Before disappearing from social media, Dr Disrespect posted a lengthy message on June 25 addressing the Twitch ban. In the post, he admitted to messaging a minor but said nothing illegal happened. In his words, the messages “leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate”.

The change made to Dr Disrespect’s banner image on X is the first sign of life on the account since he announced his vacation. The banner showed a boober with his logo and a red cork at the top. The boober is attached to a fishing line. It maintained buoyancy on a slightly turbulent sea.
So many people have given different interpretations of the cryptic image. Some said it represented Dr Disrespect feeling alone and lost at sea. Grant Taylor-Hill of Insider Gaming said it could “be a visual representation of ‘bait’, with Dr Disrespect trying to pique the curiosity of gamers worldwide”.

Well, the image can also be interpreted as the streamer’s cryptic way of saying that he would rise above the challenges that currently surround him or that he is still calm, regardless of the challenges. Hopefully, he will be back soon to share the details of his holiday with his fans.
