Retro game expert and designers of Evercade consoles, Blaze Entertainment has announced the next set of game cartridges that will be coming to Evercade. The gaming consoles are “designed to bring back the authentic experience of buying classic video games” and explore the history of gaming.
The next collection of games that will be coming to Evercade includes the Legacy of Kain collection, Thalamus collection, and Tomb Raider I, II, and III collection. All the games will come as a separate cartridge that is playable on all Evercade consoles, including the Super Pocket device and the upcoming Evercade Alpha tabletop arcade machines.
Founded in 2018, Blaze Entertainment works with IP owners to bring retro gaming content to the Evercade consoles. They have worked with notable companies like Bandai Namco, Atari, Arc System Works, Interplay, Mega Cat Studios, Intellivision, Codemasters, Team 17, and many others.

For the Legacy of Kain collection and the Tomb Raider collection, Blaze Entertainment partnered with Crystal Dynamics. Earlier in May, the company announced Evercade Alpha, a wide range of tabletop arcades that comes with built-in games. However, they were also designed to play Evercade cartridges.
Each tabletop cabinet has an 8-inch high-res IPS 4:3 screen powered by USB-C. They come fully assembled, standing at a height of 16 inches. They all come with three swappable marquees that can be inserted into the light-up marquee bar at the top of the cabinet.
The retro game collections are priced at £22.49/$24.99/€24.99 and will all be available for pre-order from August 30, while their release will happen sometime in September.
Blaze has mostly brought back PS1-era games. Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen, for example, was released on PS1 and PC in 1996. It was a top-down 2D action adventure. However, the second installment in the series, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, switched to a third-person 3D action adventure. It was released in 1999 on PS1, PC, and Dreamcast. The game has three sequels and spin-offs on the PS2 console.
