When director Zack Snyder mounted the podium at Gamescom 2023 Opening Night Live to present the teaser trailer for Rebel Moon, he also announced that the movie’s story would continue as a game. That game is Blood Line: Rebel Moon and will be available in 2025.
Netflix released an official announcement trailer for Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game as part of its presentation at Geeked Week. The announcement trailer revealed a bit of the gameplay which shows that it would be a top-down co-op action game. It will feature missions with hordes of enemies as well as stealth missions.

The game was developed in collaboration with Super Evil Megacorp, the studio behind Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate and Vainglory. Blood Line will be exclusive to Netflix Games and will be accessible on mobile. The online co-op game will support up to four players.
The fast-paced, action-focused game will feature a new cast of rebel recruits which the company said will “feel familiar to anyone who’s ever cleared a monster-infested Diablo IV dungeon or carved through hordes of alien arachnids in Helldivers 2”.
While Blood Line is not due for release until 2025, the company is calling on gamers to register for the closed beta. Those interested in participating in the closed beta experience should register here.
What playable characters will feature in Blood Line?
According to Netflix, Blood Line is going to be a standalone story set in the Rebel Moon Universe. “The battle against the tyrannical Motherworld will unfold across multiple action-packed missions,” the company said.
In terms of playable characters, Blood Moon will have a fresh cast of playable characters from different warrior classes including Bannerguard, Evoker, Kindred, and Forsaken. It is interesting to know that these characters will get unique backstories that will show their motivation to vanquish the Motherworld—just like in the movie.
Similar to games with classes, each of the characters will have a unique playstyle, giving players the opportunity to customize their experience. Also, having different characters with different playstyles encourages players to jump back in with a different player after their first playthrough.

The Bannerguard warriors are like tanks and deal heavy damage on close-range combat while Kindred warriors are best for players who prefer ranged attacks. Forsake wields dual blades and offers quick melee combat. Evokers are the healers and bring defensive abilities to the pack.
Netflix has invested heavily in its gaming division. However, it still struggles to monetize the games and find players to justify the investment. The streaming giant continues to expand its game roster. Late last year, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy was added to Netflix Games.
