Mobile is one of the biggest gaming platforms in the world with over 2.8 billion players (around 83% of all gamers). One mobile game that has attracted over a third of all those players is Call of Duty Mobile.
Activision recently revealed that Call of Duty Mobile has been downloaded over a billion times since its release in 2019. This makes Call of Duty Mobile one of the most downloaded mobile games ever.
“Happy 5th anniversary, Call of Duty: Mobile players!” the developer said as part of the Season 10 – 5th Anniversary announcement. “Thanks to you, Call of Duty: Mobile has now reached over *ONE BILLION downloads worldwide since its launch in 2019*”.
Call of Duty: Mobile Season 10 – 5th Anniversary launches November 6 at 5 PM PT. It will feature new battle pass, weapons, maps, modes, and more. CoD Mobile is regarded by many as the most accessible Call of Duty game ever.
The game has a massive esports market and the leading Call of Duty game in some regions of the world. Since its initial release in 2019, the game continues to get regular support from the developers, giving players the chance to earn CoD points and unlock various perks.
The 5th anniversary update will come with a new Battle Royale map, Krai, a dense urban landscape at the base of the Ural Mountains. It will feature five major points of interest and an in-game narrative mission pairing up Urban Tracker and Kumo-chan as they deploy to the Sanatorium in search of invaluable intel.
While mobile gaming is arguably the most accessible gaming platform, it may not be suitable for all gamers, especially those who play with controllers. One of the ways of evening the odds is by using the Backbone One game controller.
