If you are in the United States and wish to be a part of CD Projekt Red’s playtesting program, well, now you can! The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077 maker recently announced that it is bringing its playtesting program to Boston and Massachusetts in the United States.
The playtesting will happen onsite. CD Projekt Red is looking for playtesters aged 16 and above who are passionate about gaming and not involved professionally in game development.

According to CD Projekt Red, the work of playtesters helps them create better games. “Creating games that inspire and enrich gamers’ lives is at the heart of what we do, which is why we want your voice to be heard,” the company said.

What is a playtest?
It’s a unique opportunity to play our latest games while they’re in development. We want to hear your thoughts and impressions on what we’re creating!
What language are playtests held in?
Playtesting will be held in English.
Who can become a playtester?
We’re looking to create a deep and diverse roster of playtesters. As long as you love video games, contemporary pop culture, and are over 16 years old, feel free to sign up!For further details on this, see Information here.
How do I sign up?
Log in with your personal CDPR Account and fill out a questionnaire. No need to sign up multiple times, once is all that’s required to be included in our database. In order to keep your data secure, you’ll need to use a CDPR Account.
I signed up! What now?
If your gamer profile aligns with what we’re looking for, we’ll reach out to you either through email or by phone to ask about your upcoming availability. All playtests will be scheduled at least a few days in advance.
When should I show up for my playtest?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time.
Where do the playtests take place?
Right now we’re holding playtests at our studio in Warsaw, and occasionally in Boston and Vancouver. However, we’re continuously exploring new ways of testing with players so if you’re interested in participating, register and we’ll let you know when there will be a playtest that might suit you. Please note that we do not reimburse the cost of travel.
What should I do if I can’t make it to a playtest?
We would appreciate it if you reached out to us with at least a 24-hour advance notice. If we’re still looking for participants for the current playtest, we’ll do our best to reschedule for a different date or time.
Does participating in the RED Playtesting Program make me a studio employee?
No, playtesting is not considered employment at the studio and is not a paid opportunity. Red Playtesting Program participants may expect unique and exclusive loot.
Who runs the RED Playtesting Program?
Playtests are run by our UX Researchers, who act as a go-between for players and developers. We record your feedback and analyze it, which we then use to create even better games.
Can I post or talk about the games I playtested?
Due to the secretive nature of the information you’ll have access to, we ask that you do not share details of the games that you playtest, especially those that are still in production; this includes screen and audio recordings, fragments of text, or still shots from the game. Before you take part in a playtest, we’ll ask you to sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
