Since the reason why Guy ‘Dr Disrespect’ Beahm was banned from Twitch was made public by the company’s ex-employees, the streamer’s career has continued to crumble. Many companies have cut ties with him including the one he co-founded. The latest to do so is Rogue Company.
On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Rogue Company shared a tweet saying it had “disabled Dr. Disrespect content previously available on game”. The company added they “will provide full Rogue Buck refunds to any impacted account this week”.
Dr Disrespect was popular in the Rogue Company community to the point that he was given his own skin in the game. Dr Disrespect announced in October 2020 that he co-created a map with Rogue Company’s developers called “The Arena” and his skin was released in the game soon after. While the streamer is not so active in the game’s community, his skin has remained in the game.

This is the first post that Rogue Company has made in almost two months. The removal of Dr Disrespect’s skin would be the first update to the game since October 2023. The decision will seem like a surprise to many since the game has lost most of its player count in recent years.
The decision by Hi-Rez Studios to refund players with Rogue Bucks infuriated some players who prefer to be paid with real money. One said that it doesn’t make sense to be paid with an in-game currency when the game has not been updated in over a year.
where’s my $40 , i have no need for Rogue bucks when you guys haven’t updated the game in over a year

From the beginning of July to the time of writing, the highest player count that the game has attracted is 617 which was achieved on Sunday, July 7, 2024, according to SteamDB. Many believe the decision to remove Dr Disrespect’s skin from the game is just to make the game relevant again. However, it doesn’t seem like it is working.
List of everything that Dr Disrespect has lost
After the real reason why Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch surfaced, the streamer took to X to corroborate the story but claimed he was not guilty of any wrongdoing. However, his side of the story did not fly and he lost most of his contracts. Here are some of the things that Dr Disrespect has lost.
#1. Turtle Beach ends partnership with the streamer
Soon after the truth about the reason why Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch came to the limelight, his reputation, brand endorsements, and partnerships started crumbling under his feet. One of the first companies to cut ties with him was Turtle Beach—the company famous for making gaming accessories.

Last January, Turtle Beach offered Dr Disrespect a new multi-year deal, advancing their long-running partnership. The deal was supposed to see the streamer use different Turtle Beach products and “help design the next round of performance-driven gaming gear”.
“We will not be continuing our partnership with Guy Beahm/DrDisRespect,” said the company’s spokesperson.
#2. YouTube demonetized his channel
Another big blow that Dr Disrespect had to deal with in the last few weeks was the demonetization of his account by YouTube. After his ban on Twitch, YouTube became his primary streaming platform. The demonetization was confirmed by a YouTube spokesperson, according to a statement published by Kotaku.
“We have suspended monetization on DrDisrespect’s channel for violating our Creator Responsibility policy,” the spokesperson said, and confirmed YouTube had “suspended Dr Disrespect’s channel from the YouTube Partner Program following serious allegations against the creator”.
#3. Midnight Society cut ties with Dr Disrespect
Soon after the news surfaced on the real reason why Dr Disrespect was banned from Twitch, Midnight Society, the studio he co-founded announced that they had cut ties with the streamer. Although they didn’t outrightly condemn him, they said it was necessary following the prevailing circumstances.
“While these facts are difficult to hear and even more difficult to accept, it is our duty to act with dignity on behalf of all individuals involved, especially the fifty-five developers and families we have employed along with our community of players,” the studio wrote.
#4. Rogue Company skin removal
The removal of Dr Disrespect’s skin from Rogue Company is the latest blow to hit the streamer. Although it is far from the weightiest considering the downward spiral of the game’s popularity.
#5. Twitch deal worth around $10 million annually
The first thing that Dr Disrespect lost was actually an exclusive deal with Twitch that was worth around $10 million a year. He lost the deal after he was banned from the platform in June 2020. Prior to the permanent ban, he was temporarily banned the previous year for broadcasting from a restroom at E3.

While playing Elden Ring expansion on Monday after the scandal surfaced online, Dr Disrespect said that he would likely take a break from streaming. However, there may be not much left to play for when he returns.
