Epic Games Store has been outdoing itself in the quest to attract more PC players to its platform. On December 19, the platform launched its annual Mystery Game series, which will see it give out 14 games in 14 days to all platform users. But there’s a catch.
Epic Games Store users have just 24 hours to claim the game before it expires and another game replaces it. The games that the platform has dished out so far have come from different genres making sure that whatever your taste may be, there’s be a game that will grab your interest.

Arguably the biggest triple-A game that has been given out so far is Remedy’s Control. It was Epic Games Store’s Christmas Day gift to its users. The next game that followed on Boxing Day was another hit, Ghostrunner 2—and there are still six more to go before the platform returns to its regular weekly game giveaways.
Ghostrunner 2 was developed by One More Level and published by 505 Games. It launched on October 26, 2023, and was positively received. It amassed an average Metascore of 81 on PC, 80 on PS5, and 79 on Xbox Series X.
“Become the ultimate cyber ninja and prepare for epic boss fights, improved skills, an interactive story, new game modes, and a captivating synthwave soundtrack,” read the official game blurb on Steam.
Its all-time peak concurrent player on Steam was 2,264. If you missed the game when it launched last year, the Epic Game Store mystery game gives you the chance to give it a spin.
