The best players from regional qualifiers will participate at FIFAe World Cup 2023, the summit of a long qualifying series. A total of 24 players will face off and show why they are the best individual player in the world.
The road to FIFAe World Cup 2023 was tough. It all started with players around the globe competing through FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT) Champions to become FUT Champions Verified. The highest-ranked players qualified for Online Qualifiers organized throughout the EA Sports FIFA 23 Global Series season.
Top competitors in regional qualifiers were drilled through several qualifying events where they earned ranking points. The best players from regional leaderboards and partners made it to the EA FIFA Global Series (EA FGS) Playoffs/Play-ins.

From there, 24 players emerged for the FIFAe World Cup 2023. The 24 finalists will compete for a chance to write their names in the competitive FIFA folklore. At the end of the 4-day event running from July 16 to July 19, 2023, one player will be crowned the best player in the world of EA Sports FIFA 23. The event is held in Riyad, Saudi Arabia.
Last year in Copenhagen, RBLZ Gaming’s umut won the tournament to become the second consecutive German to win the FIFAe World Champion. Players that want to participate in the next event should check the FUT website where they need to sign up and confirm their profiles. The registration will run from October 10 to December 31, 2023.
The road to FIFAe World Cup 2023 trophy
The 24 finalists were grouped into four groups (GROUP A, B, C, D). Each group is made up of 6 finalists. Each finalist will compete against every other member of the group, earning points in the process. There will be no extra time or penalties in each game.
Just like in regular soccer, a win will earn the player 3 points, a draw will earn the player 1 point, while a loss is 0 points. The top 4 players from each group will head to the knockout stage (round of 16) which will start on July 18, 2023.

The winners from the round of 16 will head to the round of 8 and then 4 winners to the semi-final. The winning players from the semis will head to the final on July 19 with one player emerging as the ultimate winner of FIFAe World Cup 2023. FIFAe World Cup 2023 will be contested on PlayStation 5 as the preferred platform.
FIFAe World Cup 2023 will feature exciting faces
Since 2004, FIFAe World Cup has continued to gain popularity among fans and players and has become a pinnacle event of FIFA esports for individual players. Over the years, several players have raised the bar including the 2018 FIFAe World Champion Mosaad Aldossary and the FIFAe Hall of Famer Alfonso Ramos.
These players have also inspired a new generation of players from around the globe to persevere through the intense qualification process each season. Out of the 24 finalists, a few faces stand out. One of them is Vejrgang. The Denmark finalist is one of the youngest players with lots of promises.
EmreYilmaz is one of the current champions of the eChampions League for Team Gullit. Nicolas99fc was a runner-up in the FIFAe World Cup 2022 and flies the Argentinian and Guild Esports flags. The presence of these players guarantees an event packed with excitement.
As has always been the case, FIFAe World Cup 2023, FIFAe Club World Cup, and the FIFAe Nations Cup will all be held within two weeks as part of the FIFAe Finals 2023. The FIFAe Club World Cup was concluded on July 9, 2023, and was won by RBLZ Gaming.
The participating teams shared a prize pool of $1 million. The winning team took $300,000 from the bulk while the second-place winner FUTWIZ got $150,000. Napoli eSports and TG.NIP who came third and fourth respectively got $75,000 each.
The 5th to 8th placed teams got $40,000 while the 9th to 16th placed teams got $20,000 each. The rest of the participants got $10,000 each. FIFAe Nations Series 2023 will start on July 11 and end on July 14. Check the details here.
