Rockstar Games published GTA 5 trailer on November 2, 2011, and it went ahead to garner 97 million views, making it their most popular video to date. However, GTA 6 trailer is well on its way to toppling that record. At the time of post, GTA 6 trailer had garnered over 74 million views in 17 hours. This puts it well on track to topple the GTA 5 trailer record in just 24 hours.

That is not the only record that GTA 6 trailer will shatter. The trailer which was released earlier than planned after a leak has already garnered over half a million comments which puts it miles ahead of the over 348,000 comments recorded by the GTA 5 trailer.

In terms of likes, the GTA 5 trailer received 2.1 million likes. However, at the time of writing this post, GTA 6 trailer had 7.9 million likes and counting. These metrics have shot the GTA 6 trailer to the #1 trending video in gaming. The only metric left for it to break when placed side-by-side with its predecessor is the number of views.

Nevertheless, it is worth noting that YouTube is a much larger platform today than it was in 2011 when GTA 5 trailer was released. According to Business of Apps, there were 611 million YouTube users in Q4 2011. However, as of Q3 2023, the platform had 2.7 billion users. Any comparison between the GTA 5 trailer and the GTA 6 trailer pales out when you compare the number of platform users at the different times.

Hoping to ride on the massive popularity of the GTA 6 trailer, many YouTubers are releasing reaction trailers pointing out easter eggs in the trailer that most fans would have missed.

At least 20 easter eggs found in GTA 6 trailer

Since the release of the GTA 6 trailer, a lot of people have been hunting for Easter Eggs—and there seem to be around two dozen of them. Video Games Chronicles found 20 such Easter Eggs. However, we are going to highlight just a few of the most impactful.

Sol Sisters

Although just over a minute and a half long, the GTA 6 trailer featured tons of brand representations—some real, some fictitious, and others, parodies. For example, in the beach scene, the blue and white umbrellas had “Sol Sisters” written on them.

A little Googling and I found a brand with that name dedicated to helping “women overcome societal barriers by providing educational and empowering experiences that promote community”. There is a fashion brand that goes by the name. It is hard to tell if there is a link between any of them and the one in the GTA 6 trailer.

Patriot Beer

Loyal GTA fans would have seen Patriot Beer in GTA 4 and GTA 5. The brand made a return in the GTA 6 trailer. However, this time the logo received an upgrade with the word “Patriot” using a font similar to “American” in the “Brewing the American Dream” slogan.

Sessanta Nove

Sessanta Nove with the logo of SN fused together is a high-end fashion brand that has been extensively featured in GTA Online and GTA 5. Although their stores are not open to players, designs branded with the SN logo can be purchased from other accessible clothing stores in GTA Online.

In the GTA 6 trailer, there was a scene of a lady in a white bikini. If you look closely at what she was wearing, you will discover the iconic SN logo all over it.

Angstipan (It Cures Emotions!)

While Jason and Lucia were driving (presumably after a successful heist), they drove past a billboard with an advert for a drug called Angstipan (arguably a parody for the drug angispan, a vasodilator used for the prevention or treatment of chest pain).

At the bottom of the billboard, there was a disclaimer that read, “Patients 18-65 should use with extreme caution. Sudden urge to blink could be life-threatening. Call your doctor if your erection lasts more than 4 hours. Results may vary.”

While Angstipan in the GTA 6 trailer may be a parody, real brands have started placing ads on in-game billboards. Earlier this year, Schneider National, a trucking company, used in-game billboards in American Truck Simulator to advertise for real drivers.
