Hideaki Itsuno Joined Capcom in 1994 and worked as a director and producer on different Capcom IPs including Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma. However, on August 31, 2024, he announced that he was leaving the studio to start making a new game in a new environment.
On December 31, 2024, Hideaki Itsuno announced that he had already started working on a new project with Lightspeed Studios. He made the announcement on X adding that he will try to announce the game to everyone as soon as possible.

“A new project has already started,” he wrote on X. “We will do our best to announce it to everyone as soon as possible. We are also looking for people to join us in developing the game!”

The comments from fans of the developer were mostly positive and anticipatory. Lightspeed Studios operates from two locations namely Osaka and Tokyo. However, the studio said it “offers a flexible and inclusive work environment”.
Lightspeed Studios describes itself as “a game development studio specializing in creating original AAA action game titles for a global audience”. Heading the studio is Hideaki Itsuno. At the time of writing, the studio has 16 open positions including:
