Earlier this month it was rumored that PlayStation was planning a State of Play event before the end of the year. The company has now confirmed that the event will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
The event will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch and will feature over 20 upcoming PS5 and PS VR2 titles from across the globe. The time for the under-40-minute event is 3 pm PT/6 pm ET. For some time zones, it will be September 25 by 12 am CEST/7 am JST.
Those who prefer to watch on YouTube can join the event through the embedded link below. As always, co-streamers are welcomed, although PlayStation warns that copyrighted music may be played which they cannot control. Therefore, co-streamers who want to leave the video on their channel may need to do some edits before doing so.

With no major first-party AAA title planned for release in Q4, 2024, some are worried that the September 24 State of Play will be another bloated list of remakes and remasters including the long-anticipated Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered. The game was recently rated by the ESRB.
PlayStation still has a few yet-to-be-released exclusive titles including Lego Horizons and Bungie’s Marathon, both of which have no clear release date yet. All pending games will likely get a release date in the next State of Play.
