Hundred Star Games is a new studio created by Rocksteady co-founders Jamie Walker and Sefton Hill. The studio is reportedly working on a single-player action-adventure AAA game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
According to a report by exputer, Microsoft is financing the London-based studio’s debut project, meaning the game will likely be released on Xbox consoles and PC first. Although Hundred Star Games has yet to be officially unveiled, business update website Endole reported in January that Walker and Hill were the directors.

“Hundred Star Games Limited is an active company incorporated on 21 February 2023 with the registered office located in London, Greater London. Hundred Star Games Limited has been running for 1 year 3 months. There are currently 2 active directors according to the latest confirmation statement submitted on 20th February 2024,” read the company’s description on Endole.
Not much is known about Hundred Star Games at the moment, including the nature of the collaboration with Microsoft. While it is expected that the product of the partnership will be an Xbox exclusive, Microsoft’s recent approach of sending games to rival platforms can suggest otherwise.
Hundred Star Games is currently recruiting to fill important positions in the company. According to a publication by Polygon, the new studio has hired former Rocksteady developers and directors.
Walker and Hill previously worked at Argonaut Games before co-founding Rocksteady in 2004. In 2022, they left Rocksteady and confirmed plans to “start a new adventure together in games”. Hundred Star Games is listed on Great Place to Work. Below is how the company was described.

The report by exputer claimed Hundred Star has grown to over 100 employees since 2023. It also mentioned that over 20 of those employees were former Rocksteady staff. Looking back at the success of the Batman: Arkham franchise, the expectations will be high for Hundred Star’s debut project.
