The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed. Gamer Network was previously acquired in 2018 by ReedPop, the organizer of Pax and New York Comic-Con. The news was shared on Tuesday with the confirmation that MCM and EGX will remain part of ReedPop. Also not included in the deal is Popverse.

Gamer Network also has shares in Outside Xbox, Digital Foundry, and Hookshot (which operates Nintendolife, PushSquare, PureXbox, and Time Extension). The media brand is also a commercial partner of Video Game Chronicles (VGC), under contract. However, VGC is owned by 1981 Media Ltd.

IGN Entertainment is part of Ziff Davis which includes IGN, MapGenie, HowLongToBeat, and Humble Bundle.
