Ubisoft launched the story DLC for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown titled Mask of Darkness on September 17. However, Nintendo Switch players will have to wait a little longer to get their hands on the game because of a last-minute hitch.

“Due to a last-minute issue, the story DLC ‘Mask of Darkness’ for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is still not available on Nintendo Switch in certain countries,” Ubisoft announced in an official statement published on X.

“We know some of you are eagerly waiting to play Mask of Darkness on Nintendo Switch and apologize for this delay. The DLC will be available on Nintendo Switch in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia on September 25.”

The developer thanked players in the affected countries for their patience, understanding, continued support, and enthusiasm. While some appreciated the timely communication, the delay welled up further distrust for Ubisoft products in others.

Mask of Darkness adds a twist to Sargon’s adventure. The story shifts to Radjen, the assassin of the immortals, who traps Sargon in her Mind Palace, a nightmarish dimension created with her dark magic.

Mask of Darkness adds four new biomes to the Prince of Persia: Lost Crown universe. Also, players will have to overcome over 10 new platforming challenges, including deadly traps and merciless mechanisms.

In addition to the new biomes and platforming, players will also face six otherworldly new enemy archetypes and 3 epic bosses. However, you need not panic because Sargon is also getting new combat abilities that will even the odds, including new Amulets. There is also a new Sargon outfit to unlock.

According to the DLC’s Steam listing, players will need the base game, 30 GB of storage space, fourth-gen Intel Core i5 or later and AMD Ryzen3 or its equivalent or later, Windows 10, and 8 GB of RAM to play the game.
