The open beta for Mecha Break developed by Amazing Seasun Games launched on Sunday, February 23, 2025, and has seen a massive surge of players eager to have a taste of the third-person shooter that offers both ground and aerial combat.
In the last twenty-four hours, the game’s concurrent player count on Steam had surged to 317,522, according to SteamDB. This saw it rise to the top 5 most-played games on Steam for the day. Mecha Break allows players to jump into giant mechs and fight in one of three different combat modes: 3v3 Deathmatch, 6v6 Hero Shooter, or PVPvE Extraction Shooter.

“Squad up in Mecha Break, a multiplayer third-person shooter offering players three unique modes filled with high-octane ground and aerial combat,” read the official game blurb. “Choose from diverse classes, customize your appearance, and battle hostile mechs across treacherous terrain.”
Mecha Break is set in the aftermath of the Catastrophe, a mysterious carbon-silicon mineral called Corite which has breathed life on Earth but also threatened human existence because of its pathogenic nature.
Within 30 years, the polluted Marcens Zones is expanding to engulf the entire globe. Piloting the third-generation Break Striker, players must navigate through uncertain paths with deaths and discoveries.
Mecha Break will have its first major invitational in China on March 13 where teams will fight for a grand prize. A total of 16 top teams from across the globe will compete in this event. The developer hinted that during the invitational “both the scale and intensity of the competition will be significantly upgraded”.
The invitational will take place in a brand-new e-sports studio with upgraded competition equipment and a broadcasting system for a smoother experience for both players and audiences.
