“On top of epic trailers, fresh gameplay, and new reveals, the show will feature new details on upcoming games,” announced Saucedo on Xbox Wire. “We hope you’ll join us for lots of indie goodness, but if you cannot watch live, the showcase will be available on demand post-premiere on IGN’s channels, and of course, we’ll have a recap of everything showcased on Xbox Wire!”
Last year’s event—which was the maiden edition—was parked, including a first look at Axiom Verge 2, Karateka, and Sea of Stars. Released on August 29, 2023, Sea of Stars went on to sell 100,000 copies in the first 24 hours and over 250,000 in the first week. By March 2024, the developer revealed that the game had sold over 5 million copies.
