In terms of sales, the Monster Hunter series is Capcom’s most successful IP. Wilds offers a unique experience with a dynamically changing world that is a severe wilderness filled with marauding monsters at one moment and at another, transforms into a rich natural environment teeming with life.

The introduction of crossplay in Wilds means a wider range of players can enjoy the game together while playing on different platforms. This is another first in the series. The new entry also introduced the Focus Mode mechanic and the seamless movement between settlements and ecosystem has heightened the immersion provided by the game.

The press release also confirmed that the first title update will come on April 4, 2025. According to Capcom, the update will add a fan-favorite monster and a new in-game settlement called Grand Hub. Players can gather at the Grand Hub to communicate with each other.
