If you are anticipating Dragon’s Dogma 2, then, it will interest you to know that Capcom has a showcase planned for the game on Tuesday, November 28. The time of the showcase is 1 pm PT / 4 pm ET / 9 pm GMT. The showcase is expected to last for 15 minutes.
Capcom said the stream will show “brand new gameplay reveals in an info-packed 15-minute livestream, directly from director Hideaki Itsuno and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi”.
In Capcom’s investor Q&A, it was mentioned that the company has an “undisclosed” title that would be released by the end of its fiscal year which comes to an end in March 2024. Since the Q&A was written in Japan and mostly translated by Chrome, many are now offering iterations to the word “undisclosed” including “unannounced” to fit Dragon’s Dogma 2 into the picture.

However, it would be recalled that Dragon’s Dogma 2 was announced last year at a livestream that doubled as a celebration of the 10th anniversary of the first game. A couple of gameplay showcases have followed ever since including one as recent as September.
In the last showcase, it was revealed that the game would have four Vocations namely Fighter, Mage, Thief, and Archer. Your Vocation choice will significantly affect your gameplay. For example, the Fighter makes use of a sword and a shield and is heavy on melee. The Archer, on the other hand, is better for distant attacks.
Although the game is a single-player adventure, players can have up to three AI-controlled companions called Pawns accompany them on the journey. Unlike most games where you will stick with your choice through the story, you can change your vocation anytime in Dragon’s Dogma 2 by visiting the Vocation Guilds.

A peek at the story of Dragon’s Dogma 2
Dragon’s Dogma 2 will have two thriving nations namely Vermund, the human kingdom, and Battahl, the land of beastren. In Vermund, the Arisen who slay the Dragon have ruled as kings for generations. The vast land covered with rolling hills and lush meadows will be yours to explore.
Unlike Vermund, Battahl is a rugged canyon nation with a city built on the site of ancient ruins. It is home to the beastren and their unique culture. Players will have an entirely different experience in Battahl compared to the human kingdom. This is because Battahl has challenging environments and tough monsters.

One thing that Dragon’s Dogma 2 has tried to do is to challenge players to pay more attention to their environment. For example, instead of going sword slashing—not as if anyone would stop you if that’s what gives you joy—on big monsters, you can use your environment to easily defeat them.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 holds a lot of promise, and we cannot wait for November 28 to learn more about the game.
