PlayStation 5 launched in all-white—as well as the accessories that followed. Ever since, many players have wished they had the accessories in black, just like the previous generation console. Sony today announced a new Midnight Black collection that presents all the PS5 accessories in black colors.
Included in the Midnight Black Collection are a DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal remote player, Pulse Explore wireless earbuds, and Pulse Elite wireless headset. Pre-orders for the new Midnight Black Collection will begin on January 16. Interested collectors can book their spot on the PlayStation Store or from participating retailers.

“Featuring a rich, deep shade of black, and sleek accents that shine, this new collection can bring a touch of sophistication to wherever you play,” Sony explained in the description of the reveal trailer.
“With these additions joining the previously released matching Midnight Black DualSense® wireless controller and PS5® console covers, there’s never been a better time to expand or restyle your gaming setup.”
Unfortunately, the new Midnight Black Collection may not be available in all countries or regions. You need to verify by visiting your local retailer or the PlayStation shop. The accessories will start shipping four days (February 20, 2025) after the books open for pre-orders.

Describing the accessories in the new Midnight Black Collection, vice president of global marketing at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Isabelle Tomatis said the design extends to include the charging case for the Pulse Explore earbuds, the carrying case for DualSense Edge, and the charging hanger for Pulse Elite headset. The recommended retail prices for the different accessories in the new Midnight Black Collection are as follows:

- Pulse Explore wireless earbuds – $199.99 | €219.99 | £199.99 | ¥34,980
