Following months of rumors and image leaks, Bethesda has now confirmed that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is real and will be revealed today, April 22, 2025. The reveal is scheduled to be held at 8 am PT/ 11 am ET/ 4 pm BST.
Curious about where you can watch the event? It will air on Bethesda Softworks’ official YouTube channel and on Twitch. The studio announced the reveal on social media with an image that quickly set the Internet on fire.

The post on X has been viewed 6.3 million times with 14K reposts and over 74K likes at the time of writing. Some of the people who commented under the post claimed Bethesda deliberately changed the reveal date just to make the leakers wrong.
“They changed the release date just to make leakers wrong lol,” wrote a fighting game streamer with the handle @Ksubiiis.
Another comment from a user with the handle @Twoquiik20 read, “Step 1: Hype Up Monday Release…. Step 2: Release on Tuesday”.
There has been a lot of hype around Oblivion Remastered in the last few weeks. Thousands—maybe even millions—of gamers have shifted their attention to a game that has not been revealed. Until yesterday, Bethesda Game Studios had no publicly known marketing campaign for Oblivion Remastered.
Last week, screenshots and details of the game appeared online. The screenshot compares the original release with the remaster. A promotional art for the game also made rounds on social media after a leak from a Virtuos website.
The leak from last week claimed that Oblivion Remastered would be released on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, and PS5. It also claimed the game is being developed by Bethesda Dallas and Bethesda Rockville, in collaboration with Virtuos.
The leaked data claimed that a Deluxe Edition will be released alongside the standard version. The Deluxe Edition will include bonuses like extra weapons and horse armor, a tribute to the horse armor DLC pack from the original game.
