Earlier this year, the publisher launched Capcom Super Elections, which asked players 10 questions about its titles. Dino Crisis won with 80,769 votes in question number 5 which asked fans if there was any Capcom game series (including spinoffs) that they would love to get a sequel or new game.
Mega Man came second on the log with 63,395 while Devil May Cry was third with 60,371 votes. Resident Evil and Darkstalkers completed the top five most requested sequel or new game list.

The last time that players saw a Dino Crisis game was in 2003 when the third installment of the franchise was released. While Resident Evil and other popular Capcom franchises have either received a remake or new installments for the current-gen consoles, Dino Crisis has remained dormant—almost forgotten.
In the first question of the Capcom Super Elections, the publisher asked, “Which of the following Capcom games do you like the best?” Although Devil May Cry 5 came out the winner, Dino Crisis was second on the log.
A total of 254,148 people from 220 countries participated in the Capcom Super Elections. At least 82% of the participants identified as males while 14% identified as females. The United States had the most participants (71,546) followed by Japan (52,922) and Brazil (26,711).
Dino Crisis is mostly requested by players above 30 years
The number gets more interesting when you look at how participants of the Capcom Super Elections voted based on age. It appears gamers above 30 years are the ones requesting a Dino Crisis sequel or new game.
It is not really a surprise because Dino Crisis was a huge deal when it was released and formed a huge part of the childhood of players above 30 years. I remember playing Dino Crisis 2 on PS1 with my older brother. We played through the night and I felt dizzy in school the next morning.
The age statistics showed that voters aged 30 to 60 voted Dino Crisis as their best Capcom game while players aged 10 to 20 years voted Devil May Cry 5 as their best Capcom game. Gamers between the ages of 10 and 20 will likely not relate to the Dino Crisis era.
In the second question where voters were asked who was their favorite Capcom character, Dante of Devil May Cry emerged as the winner with 26,874 votes while Leon Scott Kennedy of Resident Evil came second with 23,417 votes and Mega Man was third with a distant 10,550 votes. Jill Valentine emerged as the most popular female character followed by Regina and Claire Redfield, all Resident Evil characters.
