On December 1, 2023, Rockstar posted a picture with the message “Trailer 1, Tuesday, December 5, 9 AM ET”, and everyone already thinks it is for GTA 6. However, we have a reason to believe that the trailer in question is not going to be for GTA 6. It is arguably for a new update to GTA Online.

On November 30, 2023, Rockstar made a post announcing a new GTA Online update which they said will be launched in December. Several other posts by the company have been for the promotion of GTA Online.

“Steal the most in-demand vehicles in action-packed Vehicle Robberies on behalf of a familiar face,” read the description of the post made by Rockstar on November 30. “Plus, new Drift Races, festive surprises, limited-time Rockstar Games 25th Anniversary in-game gear, and more.”

Attached to the description was a link. Clicking on the link, we arrived at a page with an identical picture to the one that was posted on December 1 which many now believe was for GTA 6. We maintain that GTA 6 premiere will happen on December 7 at The Game Awards.

The anticipation for GTA 6 has been so enormous that fans have seen GTA 6 announcements everywhere including on the moon. More than once, fans have claimed that the game would be announced on a particular date and backed their theories with statistics. However, none of those predictions materialized.

Rockstar has not responded to the post on X that generated all the controversies. However, one thing that Rockstar did not do was mention the game that will get a trailer on December 5. So, don’t feel cheated if GTA 6 trailer doesn’t come on December 5.
