Star Wars Outlaws will officially launch on August 30, 2024. However, players who purchased the more expensive Editions already have a 3-day head start. The game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft made a huge appearance at Gamescom 2024 which wrapped up last weekend. However, it was hugely snubbed at the Gamescom Awards.
Star Wars Outlaws is an action-adventure game set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Players will follow the story of a young scoundrel, Kay Vess, as she assembles a team for a massive heist that will help buy her freedom. It is the first Open World Star Wars game.

The reviews of Star Wars Outlaws are out, and it’s just OK. On Metacritic, the game’s highest average score was 78 on Xbox Series X and PC. The score dropped to 77 on PS5. The game’s open world and acting was widely praised. However, some players expressed frustration at the repetitive nature of the infiltration.
Although Star Wars Outlaws received several nominations at Gamescom Awards 2024, it failed to win in any of its categories. This year, there were a total of 13 awards including most entertaining, most epic, visuals, and so on.
Monster Hunter Wilds developed by Capcom was the shining star of Gamescom Awards 2024, scooping up 4 awards. Following closely behind was Little Nightmares 3 which bagged 3 awards. Below is the list of all the award categories and the winners.
