Starfield is one of the eagerly anticipated games of 2023. Fans of the upcoming game have been scampering for details on when it would be available for preload as well as the size of the game. Well, it appears they finally have their answers, thanks to online retailers like Amazon.
Starfield is set to release globally on 6 September 2023—which is less than a month away. The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC—bad news for PlayStation gamers. Some of the Starfield leaked details include the size of the game and preload date.
The Starfield leak shows that the game will take up at least 125 GB of storage space on PC and Xbox. Also, the game will be available for preload from 9 August 2023. The size of the game is not surprising considering the fact that it would have 1,000 fully explorable planets—in addition to side quests.
It is important to mention that Starfield is not the only game released this year with a massive memory requirement. Baldur’s Gate 3 which was released on 3 August 2023 required gamers to have 120 GB of storage space.
It makes a lot of sense that Starfield has a long preload window when you consider the large number of fans that want to have access to the game. Baldur’s game recently went live without a preload window and the influx of gamers nearly took Steam’s servers offline.
Xbox Series X|S players can pre-install the game with Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass. For a $35 digital upgrade bundle, you will get 5 days early access (beginning 1 September 2023) to the game before it launches globally. This is definitely something that can help streamers and bloggers to get ahead of their competitors.
