Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb has claimed that the next PlayStation State of Play is likely going to happen in September. He made the claim during the Game Mess Mornings after talking about the PlayStation 5 Pro.
“There is probably going to be a PlayStation State of Play by the end of September,” Grubb said without going into details. With no major first-party PlayStation title on the way, it is believed that the major announcement at the next State of Play would center heavily on the PS5 Pro.

Both Grubb and his co-host shared the view saying there will likely be miniature games showcased on the new console. Multiple reports, including from wccftech claimed the PS5 Pro was heavily discussed at this year’s Gamescom with developers saying the console is on the way.
It was previously disclosed that the PS5 Pro will be released in time for the holidays. However, it appears a lot of PlayStation fans want a proper showcase rather than a State of Play which is widely regarded as a watered-down version of a showcase.
