Geoff Keighley, the creator of The Game Awards has formed the habit of creating a poll after every digital game event to get the opinion of his followers about the event. He did the same after PlayStation’s State of Play on May 30. The result was far from pleasant.

74% Of Viewers Think PlayStation State Of Play Was Average Or Worse

At the end of Thursday’s State of Play, Keighley asked, “How would you grade today’s PlayStation State of Play broadcast?” He left options A, B, C, and D or Below for his followers to choose from. At the time of writing, the poll had closed and attracted 114,948 voters.

Only 5.7% of voters thought the show deserved an A. As much as 41.6% of voters rated the broadcast a D or Below while 33.2% rated it C. Many people who commented on the poll said the only stand-out game that was revealed was Astro Bot.

A Counter-Strike player who goes by the user @DnnHaoi cute wrote, “This is what you get when there is no competition now that Xbox is dead, only live service games and remasters of games that don’t need remasters”.

However, it wasn’t a blanket hate for the May 30 State of Play in the comment section. They were comments from viewers who highlighted several games they said made the broadcast worthwhile. A Multiversus player @zatannaz4mvs wrote, “Astro Bot! And Silent Hills 2/Until Dawn. I’d argue it was pretty solid. A B? Had a bit (of what) I wanted to see”.
