On February 14, 2024, Rocksteady announced that it was going to carry out scheduled maintenance for Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. The maintenance started at 3 am PST/11 am UTC and lasted for around 2 hours.
“We want to start out by saying thank you to everyone who’s played Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League so far!” read the patch note. “We’ve loved hearing about the stories you’ve had in Metropolis and can’t wait to continue our fight against Brainiac with you!”
“This patch mainly addresses some of the bugs and difficulty scaling issues that were affecting players as they progressed to the higher Mastery Levels (40+). We hope that these changes will lead to a more balanced, varied, and overall enjoyable experience as you take on ever-increasing challenges!”

Rocksteady acknowledged that there were known issues including login issues, matchmaking issues, progression issues, and others which were not addressed in the Valentine’s Day update. However, they said they are aware of the “frustration these may cause and are working on making further improvements in upcoming patches”. Below are the fixes that came with the Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Valentine’s Day update.
BUG FIXES:
- Fixed a bug that was causing Burning damage to scale with both player damage buffs and enemy debuffs. Burning damage should only be scaling via enemy debuffs.
- Fixed a bug that allowed Toyman to stack multiple of the same Augment on your gear.
- Fixed a bug that sometimes prevented modifications to Augments on your gear from saving after exiting a multi-player session and joining a single-player session.
CHANGES IN THIS RELEASE:
- Heat Wave’s Molten Skin & The Turtle’s Shell have had their damage reduction reduced from 100% to 90%.
- Due to some players exploiting certain mission mechanics, vehicle kills during Gizmo’s Support Squad missions no longer grant XP. You are still awarded XP for mission completion.
- With the fix to Burning damage, players will be less likely to get to the same Mastery Level as before. As a result, we will be creating new Leaderboards in the interest of fairness. Fear not though, as we will be archiving the existing Leaderboards, so those currently atop the rankings will live on in infamy!
- With the fix coming to Burning damage scaling and hearing the concerns around hitting a wall when climbing Mastery levels, we have reduced enemy health scaling for Mastery levels 46 and above.
- To keep things challenging, enemies at Mastery level 46 and above will now deal more damage.
Could Batman return after his death in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
How Batman was “cheaply” killed in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League sparked outrage from fans who adore the franchise. Harley Quinn killed the mind-controlled caped superhero with a bullet through the skull and fans felt that they would have given him a more honorable farewell.

However, a new video from the Batman Arkham Videos channel suggests that Batman may return sometime in the future. Players of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League can find a total of 12 calendars scattered around Metropolis. A date is circled on each of the calendars. However, the December date was marked with a Batman logo. The secret message encoded on the calendar dates was decoded to read “HE WILL RETURN”.
Since the revelation, fans of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League and Batman have predicted the possible ways in which Batman may make a return. One theory claimed that the members of the Justice League killed were simply clones created by Brainiac while the original characters were holed up somewhere.

Another theory hinged on the multiverse, claiming Batman from another universe may turn up to save the day. Some even claimed the entire game was set in an alternate universe that is different from other Arkham games.
Even more interesting is the fact that data mining also suggests that Green Lantern and Flash are set to return to the game in some form. However, the character’s return that may cause the biggest upset is Batman given the negative reactions that have trailed his death. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have yet to comment on the rumors.
