The Triple-I Initiative is a new showcase created by a group of developers and publishers including Mega Crit, Evil Empire, Gearbox Publishing (now Ace Games), Poncle, Thunder Lotus, Red Hook, and so many more.
The showcase featured the world premiere of upcoming games and update announcements from some of the titles already in the hands of gamers. One thing that set The Triple-I Initiative apart from all other showcases was that it didn’t feature any adverts.
There is a growing trend of publishers creating proprietary showcases. This trend is further threatening the continued existence of cross-platform events like Summer Game Fest and other similar events. Last year, E3 was officially discontinued after a series of pushbacks.
