Brian Horton who was previously publicly named as the creative director of the next PlayStation Marvel title, Wolverine, currently being developed by Insomniac Games has reportedly left the project for Xbox’s Perfect Dark reboot.
According to Stephen Totilo of Game File, Horton left Insomniac’s studio this summer. Stepping in to fill the void are the designers behind the 2021 Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Marcus Smith and Mike Daly.

Wolverine’s previously announced game director Cameron Christian will remain in the studio but in a different capacity. Horton will be “bringing his wealth of experience to the upcoming reboot of the classic secret agent series,” confirmed an Xbox rep to Game File.
Xbox revealed the gameplay for Perfect Dark reboot at its summer showcase, four years after its announcement. The report claimed the development of the game has faced myriads of challenges.
The development of Wolverine has been under wraps. The most recent news that fans got about the game was through a major insomniac leak that happened in 2023. The game was first announced in 2021, however, there are indications that the company will likely show more of the game soon.
Both Wolverine and Perfect Dark are yet to get a release date. However, rumors suggest Wolverine will likely be in the hands of gamers by 2025, adding to the long list of AAA games planned for release next year.
