Since last year, Xbox has intensified its foray into Artificial Intelligence with strategic partnerships and acquisitions. The company’s latest announcement is the launch of Support Virtual Agent, an AI-powered virtual assistant to help players solve support-related gaming issues more efficiently.
The feature will be rolled out to select Xbox Insiders on support.xbox.com starting Monday, October 4, 2024. According to the company, Support Virtual Agent can quickly pull information from support.xbox.com to answer questions relevant to Xbox console and game support issues.

Microsoft will roll out Support Virtual Agent to Xbox users registered with the Xbox Insider Program in the United States who selected English as their preferred language. The company said they will be collecting feedback to help improve the product.
“As you interact with Support Virtual Agent, you can provide feedback via the ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ button on each of the responses or provide feedback directly via the ‘Give feedback’ button at the bottom of the page,” said senior product manager lead Megha Dudani.
How to use Support Virtual Agent
- To gain access to the new AI-powered assistant, visit the ‘Contact Us’ page on support.xbox.com.
- Sign in with the same account you registered with the Xbox Insider Program
- You will see a new option to interact with Support Virtual Agent
- Once you click ‘Ask a question’, Support Virtual Agent will launch in a new browser window
- You can ask your question by text or voice
If the Support Virtual Agent cannot answer your question satisfactorily, you can request to speak with a live support agent within Xbox Support’s working hours. Users can also customize their support experience through the ellipsis menu icon. While in the menu, the user can choose between two different Support Virtual Agents.

The starting point to joining the Xbox Insider Hub is downloading the Xbox Insider Hub on consoles or PC. Members enjoy early access to new features. Xbox Insiders looking for support are advised to join the Xbox Insider subreddit community where they will meet the company’s staff, moderators, and other Insiders.
