Xbox has announced the date for the next Xbox Games Showcase as June 9. The show will be livestreamed for the second time in a row, coming two days after the Summer Game Fest which is scheduled for June 7.

Last year, the Xbox Games Showcase was followed by Starfield Direct which took a deep dive into the Starfield game. Although this year will follow the same arrangement, Xbox has kept a lid on the game that will headline the Direct that would happen after the main showcase.

“Like our double-feature last year with Starfield Direct, immediately following the Showcase we’ll be airing a special deep-dive into the next installment of a beloved franchise,” wrote Joe Skrebels, Xbox Wire editor-in-chief. “We can’t say much, so for now we’ll call it the Xbox Games Showcase followed by [REDACTED] Direct.”

It is hard to guess the game that would headline the Xbox Direct that will come after the Xbox Games Showcase because there is a long list of games in the pipeline for Microsoft’s gaming division. At least, four such games were showcased in late January at the Xbox Developer_Direct. They include Ara: History Untold, Avowed, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

However, there are strong rumors that the game that would headline this year’s Xbox Direct is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Understandably so, the Indiana Jones-themed game is one of the biggest first-party games coming to Xbox.

Although a bit of the game’s story and gameplay were showcased at the Xbox Developer_Direct, no definite release date was given, unlike Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II which received May 21 as its launch date, thereby ruling it out of the options to headline the upcoming Direct.
